This one is something else entirely.

Blowing Rocks Preserve is a 73-acre hidden treasure just south of Jupiter on Florida's Treasure Coast — and it genuinely feels like another world. We're talking a mile-long ancient rock formation right where the sand meets the sea, where at high tide the ocean shoots water up to 50 feet into the air through the rocks. Yes, you read that right.

But even if the rocks are quiet that day, the beauty of this place is absolutely everywhere — sea grape tunnels, native wildlife, fossils tucked into the shoreline, and some of the most stunning coastal views in all of Palm Beach County.

The littles are going to be wide-eyed. And honestly? So are we.

✨ What to know before you go:

• Wear comfortable shoes — the terrain is rocky and adventurous. There are walking paths!

• Beach access, if you mamas would like to take advantage

• Bring water and snacks (food is not permitted on the preserve itself — nearest picnic area is at Coral Cove Park, just a 3-minute drive south)

• Sun protection is a must — there's limited shade on the beach

• Keep an eye out for gopher tortoises, osprey, and if we're lucky — manatees in the lagoon

• Sea turtle nesting season runs March–October, so stay clear of any marked nests 🐢

This is one of our mamas' FAVORITE spots and you're about to see why! John Prince Park has it ALL - a splash pad for the littles to cool off, gorgeous playgrounds, tons of green space for running around, and the most peaceful lake views. Pack your picnic blanket, throw some extra clothes in your bag (trust us!), and get ready for one of those playdates where nobody wants to leave.

Rain in the forecast? No worries - we'll check closer to the date and find a cozy backup spot nearby. But fingers crossed for sunshine because this one is MAGIC! ☀️

Bring your littles for a peaceful morning at the Pondhawk Natural Area StoryWalk, right next to the Spanish River Library!

Stroll the trail, enjoy the StoryWalk, and get some fresh air while the kids explore. If the weather is too hot or rainy, you can head inside to the Spanish River Library they have some fun toys for the littles, and it’s a great indoor backup plan.
